Strange hidden places can still be found on this earth. It’s certainly the case with the Topsy-Turvy forest which comes to life every night, at midnight. Only problem is no one can see it. No one except the child who bears the sacred talisman around his/her neck… It’s a topsy-turvy world in which the child – singled out by Sylvana the Silky and Silent and Balthazar the Bold – must see a dangerous mission through to the end. Beware! It’s going to be flying in every direction!

My name is Tim Gardener. I was born in 1998, which means I’ve been ten years old since the 14th of July. I’m a normal kid who sometimes can’t stand still and talks too much, in other words, pretty typical for my age… I go to school at Church of England Primary School with a bunch of nice friends… All up, we’re just ordinary kids! One thing I’ve always wanted to try, though, is ride a horse. My parents must have guessed cause they gave me the best summer holiday ever: eight days in August at a horseriding camp called the Getaway Farm with all my friends! And that’s where everything started to get all muddled up…
A little before midnight, the glass of water next to Tim begins to tremble. For the second time he wakes with a jolt. The others sleep on. Are they deaf, or what? Can’t they hear the rumbling outside? If it’s about a horse farting, it must be as big as a dinosaur! Tim pinches himself. Ouch! He crawls to the window. If it starts up again, it can’t be a dream. Holy mackerel and jabbering jellies! He’s not dreaming! He pinches himself again. This thing’s not merely a cloud of powdered chocolate, that’s for sure! It moves, it rumbles, it’s lighting up an area over there! Tim’s eyes are as wide open as saucers. The green light’s brighter than the first time around. Now, he’s positive he’s not dreaming, something’s erupting on the hill, trees and more trees are growing super-fast, rising, and rising some more, like antennae unfurling themselves! It’s just incredible! Even flowers can’t open this fast! Tim shudders and bites his lip to stop himself from crying out. It’s magic! There was nothing and then, crack, hundreds of trees appear. That’s no mirage; it’s a whole forest that’s risen out of the earth.

Recieved this morning , very quick.... despite Scotland being covered in snow and many other courier/ mail services being interrupted. Fantastic attention to all the detail entered in the questionnaire. I am confident that this will be the talk of the christmas family meal. . My little niece will adore the story, ...all about herself and her magical adventure, especially liked the learning outcome of the story about having , confidence, self belief and helping others more vulnerable . I only wish I had something like this when I was a child...I chose not to attach photos and I honestly don't think that this impacts negatively on the final quality of the product. Well worth the money , and something from her childhood to keep in her memory box for when she is older. You should create more storylines and even aim them towards the 5-7 age group, I think that this product would encourage more children to enjoy reading ... mrs mazzoncini
